Rob and his wife Deanne operate High Country Cattle Services. Their herd consists of 75 red and black purebred Simmentals. They have developed this herd over the last 3 decades with an extensive embryo transplant program. Their genetics are marketed through the Checkers sale and select female consignment sales in the fall and their bull sale - Simmental Bull Summit, in February. They promote the Simmental breed at local and major shows across Canada.
Rob has judged at many shows across Canada including Farmfair International, Canadian Western Agribition, and the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition. Rob is an advocate for agriculture and assisting youth to be involved in the beef industry.
Show Highlights:
Maple Falls Bld Addition, a GWS/SCF Rendition female placed 4th in her class of heifer calves.
Young’s Ziva, a Cherry Creek Nygard 1U female exhibited by Forever Young Farms placed 4th in her class of yearling females.
Xcel Sheeza Ruby 407Z, an Xcel Ebonys Influence female placed 1st in her class of yearling heifers and was later crowned the Reserve Champion Junior Female. Congratulations to Xcel Livestock!
Congratulations to Greyledge Simmentals, exhibitors of the 2013 RAWF Grand Champion Female and to Maple Key Farm, exhibitors of the 2013 RAWF Reserve Grand Champion Female!
